New England Patriots kicker Joey Slye kicked a 45-yard field goal to put the Patriots back up by seven points over the Carolina Panthers in a preseason matchup.
The field goal came after a rough start by the Patriots' offense, which struggled to move the ball consistently.
However, rookie quarterback Malik Willis led the Patriots on a 10-play, 75-yard drive that culminated in Slye's field goal.
Willis finished the game 18-of-27 passing for 211 yards and two touchdowns.
Rookie running back Drake Maye also had a solid performance, rushing for 57 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.
The Patriots' defense also played well, limiting the Panthers to just 13 points.
The Patriots will face the New York Giants in their next preseason game on August 21.
